Truck drivers keep the economy moving, but many still rely on disconnected systems, outdated workflows, and expensive tools to run their businesses. Each additional step creates downstream inefficiencies that clogs our supply chain and increases the costs of goods to consumers like you and me.
We started TruckSmarter to change that.
Our goal is to give truck drivers access to better information, modern technology, and tools that transforms their workflows.
By making the supply chain just 1% more efficient, we can unleash trillions of savings to people around the world.

The challenge
Simply put, the trucking industry is broken.
Truck drivers are the backbone of the American economy. They move 72% of our freight (~$987bn annually) and make up 5% of the American workforce.
Given the commoditized nature of freight, the industry is incredibly fragmented. 95% of carriers own less than 5 trucks. There are thousands of brokers and an infinite number of shippers.
Access to information is disjointed, the landscape of tools are scattered, and it can take hours, if not days, to match a single load. Although the industry may "work" through significant manual effort and cost, any disruption leads to downstream events that empty store shelves, extend delivery times, and impact everybody's lives.
The opportunity
Over the last 10 years, the industry has finally begun to digitize. Brokers that previously relied on phones and paper pads have built apps. There are many more tools to track freight. And the connective tissue has begun to form.
New tech has lowered the barrier to entry, making it easier for owner operators to enter the market. This has led to an explosion of new authorities in the last 15 years, with the small fleet segment growing at a 10% CAGR (compound annual growth rate) during that time.
However, despite the trend, most services and tools are primarily built for large enterprises. TruckSmarter exists to serve this fast-growing gap and to arm the rebels that are reshaping the industry.

Our approach
We believe tools for truck drivers should work differently.
TruckSmarter brings freight discovery, market insights, fuel savings, and business tools into a single platform designed around how drivers actually operate.
Instead of forcing carriers to juggle disconnected tools and workflows, we focus on reducing friction, increasing transparency, and helping drivers spend less time managing logistics and more time moving freight.
