Sapp Bros. was looking for a tech-forward solution to increase the volume of gallons pumped at all 17 of their locations, without adding complexity or burden on their staff.

THE APPROACH

Sapp Bros. partnered with TruckSmarter to come up with a smart and simple solution. We decided the most effective way to meet Sapp Bros.’s goals was to:

🎯 Streamline and simplify the reservation process
🎯 Utilize technology where automation is possible
🎯 Reduce steps for the carrier and Sapp Bros. staff

THE SOLUTION

Rather than add more tech hardware to their reservation system, which would require more steps and training, we fully integrated the TruckSmarter platform into the Sapp Bros. POS system so that staff could easily handle reservations end to end.

To drive traffic to Sapp Bros., we promoted Sapp Bros. truck stops to our 120K truck drivers and owner-operators, alerting them to a location in their area or on their route, promoting Sapp Bros. fuel prices, and encouraging drivers to reserve fuel in advance. 

THE RESULTS

The TruckSmarter platform led to a jump in reservations, resulting in a significant increase of gallons pumped:

✅ All 17 of Sapp Bros. truck stops are fully integrated with TruckSmarter
✅ 230% increase in reservations completed on TruckSmarter over the course of their first full month
✅ 195% increase in gallons pumped with TruckSmarter over the course of their first full month
